Chicken Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken breast
  • 1 pound ground chicken thighs
  • 1 red onion, finely diced
  • 1 T. garlic powder
  • 1 T. onion powder
  • 2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. chipotle powder

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix by hand to combine.

  2. Portion out the mixture into 1/4 pound patties and shape them onto a sheet pan lined with parchment.

  3. If saving for another time, freeze them on the sheet pan. Once solid, they can be stacked with parchment between them. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months.

  4. For cooking, these can be baked in the oven, grilled, or seared on the stove. Be sure to cook all the way through (approximately 12-20 minutes depending on the method) before serving.
